OUR STORY

Batch after batch.

It started with a basic oat ball my son loved from a local juice shop. I started making them at home and saw an opportunity to add more nutrient-dense ingredients without changing what he loved about them. I added seeds, kept tweaking, and eventually landed on a version he genuinely loved and kept eating week after week. Two and a half years later, he still does.

Somewhere along the way, I started eating them too. Every morning, I'd have one with my favorite Forager Project blueberry yogurt, and without really meaning to, I had created a routine of my own. Eventually, I asked my husband why he never ate them. He told me he thought they were reserved for our son. Once he tried one, he was hooked too. He thought everyone should be doing this. I agreed.

There I was making batch after batch of oat balls for the whole family, and a fresh batch could be gone in two days. We loved having something homemade ready to grab, but making them completely from scratch every few days was another story. Every time I measured out the oats, seeds, honey and, worst of all, peanut butter, I couldn't help but think how much easier it would be if everything were already portioned out and ready to go. My husband thought I was onto something, and eventually I decided to find out.

FIRST BATCH

Then we shared it.

Before making it official, we shared early versions with families to make at home and tell us what they really thought. Their feedback helped shape what Mama's Oat Balls is today.

To every First Batch family who mixed, rolled, ate and gave us your honest feedback, thank you for helping make this possible.
